Clean Diesel Conference: June 11-12, 2003
The Regional Air Quality Council, along with its co-sponsors, Colorado Motor Carriers Association and Northeast Metro Pollution Prevention Alliance hosted Denver’s Clean Diesel Conference, the first of its kind in the metro-Denver region, on Wednesday and Thursday, June 11 - 12, 2003. The conference was created as part of the Clean Air Fleets Outreach and Awareness Program, a public-private initiative to help educate and inform diesel fleet operators on efficient and cost-effective ways to keep their diesel fleet running clean. The conference was FREE and provided the latest information on advances in diesel engine technology, Colorado’s Diesel Inspection/Maintenance Program, retrofit equipment and funding opportunities, emission control technology, vehicle idling reduction strategies, alternative fuels, and best maintenance practices.
